A 2nd Gathering for Herbalists & Herb Farmers in Washington County: Join Us in Herbalism Community on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, NEW TIME: from 2:00 PM–3:00 PM in the Reading Room of the Porter Memorial Library, Machias, Maine, across the street from the Post Office (convenient for Tax Day)! 🌿 All Interest Levels Welcome! 🌿
PROGRAM:
You're invited to bring an Herbal Show & Tell: Please Show & Tell the group (with brief remarks) an Herbalism creation you made or another person made that you treasure, or an Herbal moment of "Aha" or "Awe," or a plant or herb that is special to you, or an Herbal Monogram/Herbarium/Materia Medica entry or illustration, or a poem or other brief writing excerpt inspired by Herbs or Herbalism, or a favorite Herbal reference book, or fiction book with Herbalism as a theme, or a cherished Herbal recipe...You name it! If it's Herbal or Herbal-related and inspires YOU, we want to celebrate it WITH you!
*You're also welcome to just sit back and relax, and enjoy the herbal musings of your fellow Herbalists!*
Attendees are welcome to bring *non-medical* herbal questions to the meeting to discuss with fellow Herbalists before or after the Herbal Show & Tell program. You may also bring herbs and/or seeds to swap or share, and/or herbal or herb farming business cards, and/or herbal class and event flyers. These items can be displayed on a designated table in the Reading Room during our one-hour Gathering at Porter Memorial Library.
**All materials must be removed from the premises by the end of the meeting.**
**Should you so desire, please bring your own herbs or herbal "teas" to infuse, and/or to swap and share at our casual gathering. Please also bring your own mugs, infusers/strainers and cup covers. A hot water pot with hot water will be available for your use.**
PLEASE NOTE: Please ask the Porter Memorial Library if you'd like a library volunteer to assist you on the front steps.
