About this Event
Welcome to A 1,000 Mile Journey Through the High Peaks of the Northeast! Join Timothy for stories and epic mountain beauty from a 61-day backpacking adventure Timothy completed in August and September 2024 including all 67 peaks over 4,000 feet in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. You'll see photos and video of clouds and mountaintops doing some truly stunning things, learn about alpine ecology and the wildlife, plants, and fungi of the Northeast, and get a feel for long-distance backpacking.
You can expect to:
- Hear what it is like to traverse an expose alpine ridge above (and among the clouds)
- Get a feel for long distance backpacking
- Learn why the trails in the Northeast are some of the toughest in the country
- See some really beat up backpacking gear
- Answer all your questions about what Timothy does when he disappears for several weeks every year
- Enjoy some tasty snacks!
