About the 9th SIPF Photo Market 2024

Dedicated to the richness of photography & publishing practices, the Photo Market is a two-day gathering of international publishers and photographers, with a focus on exchanging knowledge, connecting communities and developing visual literacy through the medium of photobooks & visual culture.

This year, the 9th SIPF Photo Market will take place at the National Design Centre building, within the lively city centre that is the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct — home to many other local visual art, literary, and performing arts spaces. The National Design Centre will also be housing the 9th SIPF Open Call Photobook Showcase, featuring the 48 photobooks that were shortlisted by the festival’s esteemed jury for this edition’s Photobook Open Call, alongside travelling photobook showcases presented by Lightbox Photo Library [TW] and Three Shadows Photography Art Centre [CN].

Taking place over the opening weekend of SIPF, the Photo Market will feature a total of 25 international publishing houses and artists. The Photo Market is complemented by a series of curated programmes, including artist dialogues, seminars, photobook tours and photobook clinics, led by both photobook publishers and industry professionals. The event forms one of the three components featured in Asia Meet, alongside the festival’s flagship Portfolio Review and Masterclass programmes.
