🎭 Welcome to the 2026 Durham and Sunderland One Act Festival! 🎭Join us for four extraordinary nights of amateur drama at The Royalty Theatre, Sunderland. As an official preliminary round of the All England Theatre Festival (AETF), we are showcasing the very best local talent as they compete for a spot in the regional semi-finals!
✨ What to Expect:
Each evening features two distinct one-act plays. Following the performances, our professional adjudicator, Dave Bennett, will take to the stage for a live public adjudication. It’s a fantastic opportunity to hear expert feedback and learn more about the craft of theatre.

🔹 Friday 6th March
• We Found Love in a Homeless Place — Moon in the Sky (in conjunction with Hallmarsh Productions)
• All By Myself — Bishop Auckland Theatre Society
🔹 Saturday 7th March
• The Debutant — Absolute Show Offs
• Romeo and Juliet — Durham Shakespeare Group
🏆 Grand Finale: The evening concludes with our 2026 Awards Presentation!
