Springtime is around the corner, and that means registration for the 9th Annual Spring Light of Hope breakfast has officially opened! Whether you're a longtime attendee of this time-honored tradition, or checking it out for the first time, you won't want to miss Friends's signature fundraiser on April 8!The 2025 keynote speaker is Andrew Bridge. Mr. Bridge spent 11 years in Los Angeles County foster care. After aging out, he attended Wesleyan University, then graduated from Harvard Law School and was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship, and Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Residency. He has represented children in need of assistance, led the Alliance for Children’s Rights, and co-founded National Adoption Day and New Village Girls Academy for pregnant and parenting teens.
Mr. Bridge's memoir, Hope’s Boy, was a New York Times Bestseller and honored as a Best Book of the Year by The Washington Post. His latest book, The Child Catcher, released in September, is also a National Bestseller, earning numerous accolades. Publisher’s Weekly BookLife praised the book, writing, “Bridge’s most inspiring task is his determination to give silenced children a voice, an opportunity for freedom, and hope for justice.”
As in years past, the Light of Hope breakfast is free to attend and all are welcome. But space is limited, so don't wait to register for this inspiring morning of hope!
