About this Event

The West Jefferson County Community Task (WJCCTF) and the Louisville and Kentucky NAACP Branch are hosting the 9th Annual Environmental Justice Conference on September 20, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm as an in-person event with local and national speakers on topics of critical environmental importance. (A VIRTUAL option is planned, and confirmation will be available the week of the conference). The 2025 EJ Conference will be held on the University of Louisville's Belknap Campus at the University Club, 200 E Brandeis Ave, Louisville, KY 40208. The theme this year is "It’s Our Environment and It’s PERSONAL.”The four-hour conference features sessions on topics such as PFAS contamination in water, the importance of incorporating environmental exposures into clinical diagnoses, the health effects of climate change on women, policy challenges, and the environmental impact of data centers. The in-person program features a continental breakfast, lunch, and a raffle, with tickets priced at $40 for adults and $20 for students.
