A little more about the cause:
From Feb 22–Mar 1, 2026, Christina Horns will be partaking in the Wounded Warrior Run BC, a multi-day relay run supporting mental health programs for trauma-exposed professionals—Military members, Veterans, Police, Firefighters, Paramedics, Corrections, Dispatchers, and Search & Rescue.
In these 8 days, the team of 8 runners will cover 800 km, making 28 stops along the way to attend events, meet residents, and share the stories that fuel the mission.
The 911 dispatchers at Island District OCC have organized this fundraiser to support the cause, creating awareness, and raising vital funds to support our very own Wounded Warriors on Vancouver Island.
These frontline heroes face incredibly tough situations, and many carry the emotional weight long after the job is done. We’re helping ensure they get the support they need.
No one should have to struggle in silence. 🇨🇦💙
