On Saturday, September 20th, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater invites you to a 90s Horror Party, a 35mm triple feature of three teen terrors of the era on the big, BIG screen!In the wake of the smash success of Wes Craven’s SCREAM (1996), the horror genre, though dead like a masked killer in a franchise film, popped back up with new energy, leading to a string of films starring young, attractive casts, with hip soundtracks and similar poster designs, playing off genre conventions of the previous decade and putting their own twist upon them…
First up is the film that launched a franchise that keeps reminding us…I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (1997)! Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. witness a tragedy, and a year later, find themselves the target of a deadly fisherman with a hook and a grudge!
