900 Voices is an Edinburgh-wide invitation to speak with us and share your thoughts, ideas and experiences about connection, community and belonging! Conversations with us are recorded and become part of the 900 Voices sound artwork in St Giles’ and an oral history archive of Edinburgh in 2024!
Conversations tend to last about 15 - 20min. Come along to WPNC on Saturday to find out more!

900 Voices is a participative project by Zoë Irvine with Lindsay Perth and Jules Rawlinson. It has been commissioned as part of Edinburgh’s St Giles Cathedral’s momentous 900th Anniversary celebrations.
We are delighted to invite people from all over Edinburgh to get involved in an ambitious sound art project for this momentous occasion.

Motivated by inclusivity, 900 Voices is not a religious project and seeks contributions from people across the city with any and all views. Created entirely from spoken word, the sound work begins with recorded conversations.
