This 90 minute taster session will introduce you to the basics of throwing. You will have the chance to use 2 x lumps of clay to make two pots on the potters wheel. You will be shown how to centre the clay, basic throwing techniques, shaping ideas and how to remove your creation off the wheel successfully.
After a week of drying, your pots will be fired in our on-site kiln. You can chose from our small range of studio glazes, which our teachers will apply for you after the first firing. Your pots are then fired in the kiln for a second time. Once cooled and packed, we will contact you for collection.
*We advise all customers to come with shorter nails if possible, tie back any long hair and wear closed toe shoes for your safety on the wheels! *
