In support of the charity 9 FOR 9 the Standard Mental Health First Aid Accredited Training is on offer for $9.
The Standard Mental Health First Aid Course teaches participants how to provide initial support to another adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received or the crisis resolves.
Course participants learn about the signs and symptoms of common mental health problem in adults, how to recognise and respond to an emerging or worsening mental health problem and the treatments and supports available.
You will be able to intervene early, offer support, respond in a crisis and reduce stigma.
Accredited Instructor: Emma Lucas.
Held over four x 3 hour sessions on a Monday night for the month of October 6-9pm at Commonfolk Mornington.
Please note: ALL 4 sessions are mandatory for accreditation.
The first session on the 6th of October will have a $9 charge, please also allocate a ticket in the three additional weekly sessions which should show as $0 charge.
