Please join us Saturday, 9/6/2025, at the Regions-Harbert Building in downtown Birmingham as we participate in the 24th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to remember those that died in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. We will be climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. You may wear firefighting gear and SCBA, a weighted vest, or simply comfortable exercise clothes to complete the climb.*Some waters will be provided but I highly recommend bringing some extra waters, especially if you will be wearing gear.
The location will be at the Regions-Harbert Building at 1901 6th Avenue North in downtown Birmingham. Plenty of street parking should be available. Please enter through the 6th Avenue North entrance (near the corner of 19th Street N) and assemble inside the lobby. We will be utilizing the North and South stairwells to make 7 trips from the lobby to Floor 16 where there will be 12 elevators available to return participants to the lobby. The final trip will be to Floor 5 to complete the 110 Stories. (Note: this building does not have a Floor 13)
Liability waivers will be available on site for participants to sign before the event. There is no cost to participate!
We will meet at 8:30 and start climbing at 09:00. The climb normally takes about an hour to complete.
