Come together with fellow first responders to hike the Manitou Incline in honor and recognition of those who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11. We’ll gather at 0800 at the base of the Incline, share a few words in remembrance, and then begin the hike. At key times on the hike, we’ll pause for a moments of silence for when the first plane hit the North Tower, the second plane hit the South Tower, when the flight 77 hit the Pentagon, when the South Tower collapsed, when Flight 93 crashes in PA, and the North Tower collapsed.
Whether you’re a structural or wildland firefighter, EMT or paramedic, law enforcement officer, military, or other first responder, we invite you to remember the final moments of the responders and civilians lost on 9/11. First responders are welcome to hike in fitness gear with a department shirt, wildland gear, or bunker gear (SCBA optional).
