The Watertown Players will take to the stage one weekend only to present the 8X10 Play Festival. The production consists of eight captivating short plays, some comedic and others dramatic, each about 10 minutes in length and performed consecutively for a full-length entertainment experience. Advance tickets are on sale now and can be purchased for $15 at Piggly Wiggly, 1330 Memorial Dr., Watertown, or by calling the box office at 920-306-4364. Tickets will be available at the door for $20 until the house is sold out. The festival will be presented at The Watertown Players Theater, 210 S Water St (inside The Market), Watertown, on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm. With a limited run of only two performances, get your tickets early and don’t miss your opportunity to see these eight riveting short plays brought to life on the Watertown Players stage! Please note that some plays contain adult themes and language—parents should use discretion.The short plays that are included in the production are: ICE HOUSE, written by J.D. Trafford and directed by Jeff Boyce; PRIOR ENGAGEMENT, written by Wyn Alyse Thomas and directed by Taylor Jo Venden; MEMBERS ONLY, written by Jane Cafarella and directed by Nate Pilarski; FERRIS WHEEL, written by Mary Miller and directed by Taylor Jo Venden; SPARK OF LIFE, written by Ellen Abrams and directed by Elena Donley; ACCUSE!, written by Taylor Jo Venden and directed by Blaine Landowski; IT’S SATURDAY, written by Alejandro Canelos and directed by Jeff Boyce; AFTER THE DAY I’VE HAD, DEATH WOULD BE A BLESSING, written by Kris Thompson and directed by Elena Donley. Bryn Scheid is the festival’s Artistic Producer, Lisa Steffl is the Executive Producer, Juanita Edington and Annette Weirick are serving as stage managers, and Jim Steffl is Technical Director.
