Notre Dame Chess Club presents, ‘8th NDCC NATIONAL CHESS CARNIVAL’ which is going to take place in Notre Dame College premises during 18-20 May, 2022.Here are the event segments we will be having.
?Segments:
➡ Institutional Chess (Solo):
It will be a 1 vs 1 showdown between all the registered participants.
➡ Institutional Chess (Team):
4 players from an institution will form a team and showcase their talent in a 4 vs 4 showdown.
➡ Bughouse:
A popular chess variant played on two chessboards by four players in teams of two. Normal chess rules apply, except that captured pieces on one board are passed on to the teammate on the other board, who then has the option of putting these pieces on their board.
➡ Sudoku Race:
Besides testing the players chess skills over the 8×8 shaped chess board, we will organize Sudoku Race to sharpen their mind by completing the 9×9 shaped Sudoku puzzles.
➡ Cube Race:
Moving over from the boring 2-dimensional board of black and white, we arrange a cube of 6 colours with 43 quintillion possibilities! Participants will have to solve it faster than the others to obtain the first position.
➡ Piece Hunter:
The main objective is to find the hidden pieces over our 1260-acre campus with given clues. First team to find all the pieces will be crowned as the winner. 4 member each team.
➡ IQ Quiz:
Classic determination of who is smarter than whom. Participants will perform a IQ test set by our panel within a set time.
➡ Puzzles:
Puzzles of chess where you have to find out the next best move. Participants have to complete the puzzles in the shortest possible time and score the most points to win.
