Get ready to let your dreams take flight at the 8th Annual Klig’s Kites Myrtle Beach Kite Festival! This two-day event, taking place on Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12 (11:00 AM – 4:00 PM) at the Market Common fields, is free to attend and open to all ages. Whether you’re a seasoned kite flyer or have never even held a kite string, you’ll feel right at home. If you’ve always wanted to fly a kite, now’s your chance – no experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm!
What to Expect:
A sky filled with hundreds of colorful kites of all shapes and sizes (some as big as houses! ) soaring over Myrtle Beach. It’s a spectacular sight you have to see to believe!
Friendly kite experts on hand to teach you and your kids how to launch and fly a kite (learning is a breeze with their help!) and even perform cool trick kite moves. Never flown a kite before? No problem at all – we’ve got you covered.
Thrilling stunt kite demonstrations by professional flyers that will leave you amazed. Watch intricate stunt kites dance and swoop through the sky in an aerial spectacle of skill and color.
Tasty treats from local food trucks and great live music to keep the fun going. Bring your appetite and enjoy the tunes as you picnic under a sky full of kites.
Don’t have a kite? No worries – kites will be available for purchase on-site, so everyone can join in the flying fun. (Of course, you’re welcome to bring your kite too!)
