Melody Thomas Music Studio presents the 8th Annual End of Summer Ice Cream Social at the Nicholls Oval Pavilion on August 25th!This event will run rain or shine as the pavilion is covered, but would be cancelled in the event of a severe thunderstorm.
Performers, please arrive by 6 and check in with your teacher so we can start our performances right on time at 6:30. We will listen to performances from 6:30 to 7:30, take a stretch break, and then hear the second half from 7:45 to 8:45. We will finish with ice cream from Central Smith Creamery! A few volunteers to help scoop will be required - let us know if you have a strong scooping arm we can borrow!
There are many picnic tables, but audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs so there is enough room for everyone. Dress warm as the evenings are getting very cool! Bug spray might also be advisable. Public washrooms will be open.
At every one of our studio events, rather than charging admission, we collect donations for our Studio Bursary Fund, which subsidizes the cost of special music studio events such as the Holiday Mixtape Recording Project so that students don’t have to miss out on special musical experiences if finances are tight. Please bring cash to donate!
