The Charlotte Pi(e) Run is a 3.14 mile fun run that takes place on March 14 (Pi Day) at 6:28 (2 Pi) PM at the Simmons/Hixon/Chandler buildings parking lot in Ballantyne Corporate Park. The circular shape of the parking lot makes for a perfect pie view for those with a Garmin, Strava, etc. and is approximately 6 laps around the outer road of the parking lot. There is also a wedge shaped course of approximately 0.25 mile for those only wanting a slice of pie.There is no charge for the run but donations are gladly accepted to help offset the cost of the post-race pie.
There is no time limit since this is just a "fun run". This is an unsanctioned event (we don't have permission from the Ballantyne Corporate Park owners) and the course is not closed, so all participants are asked to be on your best behavior and to respect that there may be cars. The organizers accept no responsibility to for our safety while participating so please don't do anything too stupid.
