About this Event
The 831 Sundown Social isn’t just another seaside hangout—it’s Monterey’s monthly ritual of light, sound, and community. Every last Saturday, Breakwater Cove becomes something else entirely: a free, all-ages, family-friendly dance floor carved out against the Pacific, where kids chase bubbles while their parents sip drinks, neighbors trade stories, and the bay becomes a backdrop for disco basslines rolling into the evening.
The next gathering hits Saturday, October 25th, 3–8pm and folks are encouraged to wear a costume. Expect DJs from Compact Disco steering a soundtrack that slides between tasteful disco cuts and deep house grooves, the kind of music that makes you forget what time it is until the sky starts glowing orange and pink over the water.
This thing stays free thanks to the backing of Fever Tree, who make sure we can keep turning the lights on without turning people away. But it’s not just a party—it’s a purpose. On-site donations go directly to iHelp Monterey, a program putting in the real work for our community.
So bring your kids, your dogs, your dance shoes, or just your curiosity. Eat, drink, play, dance, make friends. It’s Monterey stripped of pretense, remixed with joy, and offered up once a month at the edge of the ocean.
THERE IS NO NEED TO RSVP, but if you do so we will add you to our mailing list and keep you updated on future gatherings.
