Presented by the Missoula Irish Dancers "82 Fires" is a multi-generational tale set in Montana's firefighting community. After losing his daughter Nessa in the devastating 1910 "Big Burn" Bryan processes his grief by founding Wellington's first firefighting program and writing stories that reimagine her as a warrior battling Celtic gods. Five generations later his descendant Sadie struggles to find her place among Wellington's firefighters weighed down by her family's achievements and her own self-doubt. When crisis strikes during the town's Lughnasadh festival and a child goes missing near an advancing wildfire Sadie must draw on both her training and her heritage to face the challenge guided by an Irish harp pendant and the echo of ancient myths.
