Authentic by John Ashford
John Ashford is a shoe designer, visual artist, illustrator, photographer, stylist, author, and teacher. After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a major in Commercial Art, Ashford traveled to many cities in The United States, and around the world.
He learned the process of constructing the perfect stylish, and comfortable shoe from an old veteran cobbler in Naples, Italy. Marrying those exquisite lessons and his natural artistic ability, he created The John Ashford Collection in 2003.
In late 2012, he birthed Authentic by John Ashford. This unique brand defines couture with high fashion art. Each shoe is an artistic masterpiece that is hand crafted and signed by John Ashford himself.
His shoe collection has been featured around the world including, Africa, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, and many other countries.
His shoes have also been in high fashion magazines such as Harper's Bazaar, L’Officiel, Future Claw, Ellements, Lucy's, Nylon, and, LaPalme Magazine,etc. Additionally, he has made shoes for celebrities such as Wendy Williams, Alicia Keys, Ashanti, Paris Hilton, and many, many more.

DoviArt Fashion
Where fashion is no longer conventional.
She came to Chicago with one small suitcase and $300 in her pocket. And now she is a NYFW and LAFW designer, featured on major networks and published internationally. Originally from Lithuania currently residing near Chicago. Her paintings were exhibited in US, Spain, France and Lithuania. She has dressed performers for TV and red carpet.
Dovile started sewing when she was thirteen. She simply got tired of waiting for my mom to finish my clothes and asked her to show me how the sewing machine works. That was magic, Dovile still remember the first dress she made for herself. She has several degrees in Textiles - engineering and art. Fabric is the medium fashion designers create with and she knows it at the molecular level. She can not only choose the right material on the spot, but also manipulate it to fit her arctic vision.
What she shows on the runway is the extend of her artistic vision, when she works with the client is what they create together. Punk rock was embedded in me as a young youth… I was rebellious and loved music that my parents disapproved… From starting my own Punk Band to writing graffiti on walls and trains… This year's Fashion Week show is about an 80’s Punk Rock Revival! The shoes and boots I make have always made a bold statement! I teamed up with a clothes designer DoviArt Fashion last year during NYFW and it was an incredible display of Art & Fashion! We decided this year to produce our own show together so we can revive both our artistic upbringings and the music that surrounds it!

Punk culture reached me in my teens and immediately blew my mind. Growing in a Soviet occupied country where everything seems to be controlled l suddenly discovered the movement that allowed me to rebel against the establishment in a way that was not so easy to punish.
What we are doing here is returning to the presentation of fashion as an art, performance. Something that was lost since Mercedes Benz pulled out of the American market. We are putting back the designers as key decision makers about how fashion is presented.
