StrongSelves Senior Strength and Mobility Program
Overview: Our StrongSelves Senior Strength and Mobility Program is designed to help seniors build physical strength, improve joint mobility, and enhance balance. This program supports overall health, independence, and quality of life.
Schedule:
- Frequency: Twice a week
- Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
- Duration: 8 weeks
Program Structure: Each 60-minute session includes:
- Warm-Up (10 minutes): Gentle dynamic stretches and light movements to prepare the body.
- Strength and Balance Training (40 minutes): Focused exercises designed to improve strength, balance, and joint mobility, following a progressive overload system.
- Stretching and Mobility (10 minutes): Relaxing stretches and mobility exercises to cool down and enhance flexibility.
Program Principles:
- Progressive Overload: Each week’s strength and balance components will gradually increase in intensity, tailored to participants’ abilities.
- Comprehensive Focus: Combining strength, balance, and mobility for overall wellness.
- Safe and Supportive Environment: Creating a welcoming space for seniors to thrive and connect.
Logistics:
- Equipment: Resistance bands, light dumbbells, chairs, and yoga mats (provided).
- Class Size: Maximum of 8 participants per group.
- Cost: $649 per 8-week program (includes materials).
