STRONG AS A MOTHER 2- POST PARTUM
StrongSelves Postpartum Recovery Program
Overview: Our StrongSelves Postpartum Recovery Program is designed to support mothers in their postpartum journey, focusing on strength, mobility, and mental well-being. Mothers are welcome to bring their babies to class in a car seat (babies must not yet crawl or walk).
Schedule:
- Frequency: Twice a week
- Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:50 AM - 11:50 AM
- Duration: 8 weeks
Program Structure: Each 60-minute session includes:
- Warm-Up (10 minutes): Gentle movements to prepare the body and connect with the breath.
- Strength and Mobility Training (40 minutes): Exercises designed to rebuild core strength, improve posture, and enhance overall fitness using a progressive overload system.
- Growth Mindset Component (10 minutes): Hands-on activities to address postpartum physical and mental challenges.
Program Principles:
- Progressive Overload: Gradual increase in intensity to rebuild strength safely.
- Mind-Body Connection: Exercises focus on physical recovery and mental well-being.
- Community Support: A supportive environment to connect with other postpartum mothers.
Logistics:
- Equipment: Resistance bands, light dumbbells, mats, and mirrors (provided).
- Class Size: Maximum of 6 participants per group.
- Cost: $1,399 per 8-week program (includes materials).
Sign-Up Details:
- PREREQUISITES:
- Must have doctor's clearance for exercise to join the program
- Baby must be a newborn and not able to crawl or walk (if bringing baby into class)
- Baby must stay in carseat or holder the entire class (unless otherwise instructed by coach)
