This Mindfullness program takes place over 8 consecutive weeks. It provides training in mindfulness meditation and awareness practice which have been shown to reduce stress and increase well being for people with a wide range of concerns from stress and anxiety to chronic pain, insomnia and many more conditions. It was developed in 1979 at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and is considered the first therapeutic mindfulness based intervention which other followed like Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).
