GAME FORMAT
- APA Rules apply to both 8ball and 9ball formats.
- One coaching time-out per team, per game, is allowed.
- Races on the winner’s side and losers sides are the same.
- Competition begins with the toss of a coin.
- Winner of toss decides if he/she wants to name the first game to be played (8ball or 9ball) or if he/she wants to name the first player (on his/her team).
- Loser then must decide the opposite.
Example:
Player 1 wins the toss then decides that they will choose the game to be played first.
Player 2 must then identify who on his team will shoot first.
- First 2 players will lag or toss a coin to determine who breaks the first rack.
- Players alternate shots not turns.
- Play rotates between 8ball and 9ball after each rack.
- Losing team racks for next game.
- Player rotation remains the same throughout the match.
