We are excited to announce the 7th annual, Ken Copeland Challenge! We are changing things up this year, and we are doing a completely new challenge. This year’s event will be one continuous team relay, and will no longer consist of two workouts. We are hoping that by shortening the duration of the event, we make it a little more family friendly! We are also pushing the event back for a little bit of warmer weather. So this year we will be competing on April 26th at 0900 hours at San Marcos Fire Station 5.
As mentioned this year will be a relay race. You will still compete in teams of four. There will be 12 stations or events, and each member of your team must complete 3 out of the 12 events individually.
The order of events has not been finalized but will consist of the following:
-3/4 mile run
-Assault bike 40/30 calories
-50 Shoulder to overheard 95/75#
-10 tire flips
-100 box step overs (85 for female)
-2000m row for males or 1750m row for females
-50 yard hose pulls
-3 minute dead hang on pullup bar
-50 burpees for males 40 for female
-KB shuffle (combo of 10 suitcase deadlifts, carry 20 yards, 25 pushups, carry back 20 yards, then 10 more suitcase deadlifts) 75#/55#
-100 yard strongman sandbag carry 100#/60#
-3/4 mile run
So for example one member of your team will run 3/4 of a mile who would then tag the next member of your team who would then complete the next individual workout, who would then tag then next member of your team and so on until all 12 stations are completed.
More details will come out as we finalize them. Deadline for team registrations will be April 1st.
