Hosted by House of Shine , a leadership development nonprofit, the Holiday Artisan Market is a signature event that showcases the talents and entrepreneurial spirit of young leaders, ages 8-18. At House of Shine, we believe where your talents and interests meet a community need is where your SHINE truly lives, and this market is a perfect example of that philosophy in action.
The Holiday Artisan Market is an amazing opportunity to support young entrepreneurs, find unique, handcrafted holiday gifts, and experience the spirit of community that defines House of Shine. It’s a place where talents, creativity, and service all intersect to create something truly special.
Leading up to the event, nearly 30 student entrepreneurs have been hard at work—crafting, designing, and refining their one-of-a-kind products. From handmade jewelry and live drawings to home-baked goods, holiday cards, crochet items, paintings, succulents , and more, these young creators are using their skills and passions to build small businesses with a purpose. Each entrepreneur is donating at least 10% of their sales to a charity of their choice, creating a lasting community impact.
Join us for shopping, fun, and festivities, including a food truck, live music, and family-friendly activities . By attending, you’re not only getting a jump start on your holiday shopping, but you’re also empowering young changemakers and contributing to a great cause.
But it’s more than just a market—each student entrepreneur receives valuable entrepreneurship tips from local business leaders on key areas like inventory, pricing, and marketing. These student entrepreneurs also have the chance to build self-awareness by attending House of Shine workshops like Discover Your Strengths, Middle School StrengthsExplorer, SHINE and Point of Intersection . Through these experiences, students not only develop business skills and self-awareness but also learn the importance of giving back.
