The 7th Annual AWD/Bobbi Weddle Memorial Volleyball Tournament starts on Friday August 16th and ends on Saturday August 17th at the KofC Sports Complex located at 3144 Blue Rock Road Cincinnati, OH 45239 starting at 5:45 p.m. on Friday night and goes all day on Saturday with the finals scheduled for 8:00pm. The after party will be at the Knotty Pine Rock and Tiki Bar both nights. This is a family friendly event! The purpose of the fundraiser is to gather funds to donate to a family in need who is suffering from cancer or other debilitating diseases or circumstances.
This is the seventh year for the tournament as we will donate proceeds to a local cancer survivor and/or fighter along with a scholarship to Roger Bacon. We will have a DJ, major raffle prizes, 50/50 raffle, kids games, t-shirts and more. The concession stand will be open both days and breakfast on Saturday morning.
Our recipient Jimmy Fox was diagnosed in October, 2023 with a brain tumor that was a result of CNS Lymphoma. He started treatment on October 31st. During his treatment, he will endure 8 cycles of 1 day outpatient chemo followed the following day by inpatient chemo and a short 3-4 day hospital stay. He will eventually spend a month in the hospital this spring to have a stem cell transplant. It is going to be rough, but with the support of his wife Gina, his kids Emma and Zach and the best group of friends a guy could ask for, he is up for the challenge. Jimmy is a big supporter of the Amanda Watkins Dunn Memorial fund and is at every event. We always preach that if you or any of your family members are going through tough times, that we would have your back. Now it is our time to have his back.
Team Levels: Ages:
Co-Ed 6's - $200 (High school-adults) 28 teams
Junior's - $150 (7th & 8th graders) 10 teams
Kids - $150 (4th - 6th graders) 10 teams
