
The 7th Akile Africa Festival is a vibrant annual celebration dedicated to showcasing and preserving the rich Yoruba culture within the diaspora community in the USA.
Hosted and Organised by the Yoruba Community in the State of Texas the Okunade Yoruba Community under the leadership of HRM Oba Abimbola Akile Balogun the Akile of Texas.
The festival in its 7th edition promotes Yoruba traditions through music dance language fashion cuisine and cultural displays. Its objectives include fostering cultural pride unity and identity among Yoruba descendants educating younger generations about their heritage and strengthening cross-cultural ties.
The event also serves as a platform for honourary chieftancy Installations awards networking cultural exchange and promoting African cultural values globally ensuring continuity of Yoruba legacy abroad.
