The National Hard Crab Derby is known to be one of the most premier events in the City of Crisfield. This family fun community event recaps much of Crisfield’s history and hosts many events throughout the duration of Labor Day weekend. With the City of Crisfield being designated as the “Crab Capital of the World”, events such as the Crowning of Miss Crustacean as well as the Little Miss and Mister Crustacean, the Crab Cooking Contest, Crab Picking Contest, Crab Races, Crisfield Bock Docking, etc. all display the importance of our heritage and we would like to assure that this event carries on this tradition for years to come. The National Hard Crab Derby makes Crisfield a destination not only for the locals, but for visitors from all over the surrounding areas.

The fairgrounds concert series at this year’s Crab Derby is fantastic as always! cWe will be opening the event on Friday evening with the playing of the National Anthem followed by the classic sound of the band TRANZFUSION . On Saturday we will be having SMITTY & ON THE EDGE back by popular demand live on stage. On Sunday there will be some sweet tunes from FULL CIRCLE along with Line Dancing from THE DANCE BARN just before the concert We have a special deal--buy FRIDAY and SATURDAY tickets and get SUNDAY FREE!
In addition to our phenomenal live music, we are also planning to have new attractions and will be offering more entertainment, rides, food vendors, etc. throughout the entire Labor Day weekend. On Sunday, we will have a special church service in the morning and a Christian concert with religious based entertainment. Don't forget our Annual Boat Docking Competition at the Crisfield City Dock in the afternoon and then we will be closing out the weekend with FIREWORKS! It's always a great homecoming with family and friends from near and far with EVERYONE invited to the NATIONAL Hard Crab Derby!
