Western Fun at the 77th Annual Wickenburg Gold Rush Days
February 12–15, 2026 – Wickenburg, Arizona
Celebrate Wickenburg’s rich Western heritage at the 77th Annual Gold Rush Days! This four-day event honors the town’s origins as a ranching and gold mining hub in the days before Phoenix was established. Founded 77 years ago, Gold Rush Days now draws tens of thousands of visitors for a weekend filled with exciting activities, entertainment, and tradition.
The festivities begin on Thursday, February 12, with the first annual “Roping for Gold – All-Women’s Breakaway Roping” at the Everett Bowman Rodeo Arena, located just a mile and a half outside the downtown district at 935 Constellation Road. Registration opens at 9:00 AM, and the roping starts promptly at noon. With a growing prize pot of $5,000, this event promises an exciting day of friendly competition. Vendors at the Everett Bowman Arena will be open, offering a variety of goods. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Wickenburg Visitor Center at 216 N. Frontier Street.
On Friday the rodeo Slack will begin at 11am and run until 1pm. Saturday, February 14, and Sunday, February 15, the National Senior Professional Rodeo and Open Rough Stock events take center stage at the Everett Bowman Rodeo Arena. Gates open at noon, and the rodeo begins at 2:00 PM each day. The rodeo runs rain or shine, and vendors will be on-site with food and western style merchandise. Tickets are available online or at the Wickenburg Visitor Center. Saturday following the rodeo will be a rodeo dance near the grandstands and beer garden. Come join in waiting out the traffic and wind down the evening as we bougie our way into the evening.
Additional festivities kick off Thursday evening with Brown’s Amusements Family Fun Carnival at the Wickenburg Community Center, opening at 4:00 PM. On Friday, February 13, the events official Opening Ceremonies begin at 10:00 AM on Frontier Street. Enjoy live entertainment featuring local musician Kaden Hernandez, trick roper Will Roberts, and a performance by the Wickenburg Marshals. Classic cars will be on display from 9:00 AM to 12p.m. A new addition this year is the “Breast of Gold” one-mile walk in partnership with the Wickenburg Breast Cancer Organization. The walk begins at 9:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church and concludes just before the opening ceremonies. Registration is available at wickenburgbootsbreastcancer.org.
From Friday through Sunday, the main festival area at 160 N. Valentine Street will be open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, featuring the Wickenburg Art Club Artisan Fair and juried art show, more than 150 arts and crafts vendors, gold panning, live music, and the family fun carnival, which continues into the evening each day.
One of the highlights of the weekend is the Gold Rush Days Parade on Saturday, February 14, at 10:00 AM. This parade is one of the largest in Arizona, with more than 70 entries, including dozens of horses, classic automobiles, marching bands, and youth groups. The theme for the 2026 parade is “Heart of Gold.”
