The Sacramento Orchid Society is proud to announce it’s 76th Annual Orchid Show & Exotic Plant Sale. This year promises to be one of our best years ever. There will be a Preview Event again this year. The Preview Event will be on April 11th from 6:30PM to 9:00PM. The show itself is on Saturday April 12th from 10:00AM to 5:00PM and Sunday April 13th from 10:00AM to 4:00PM. The show is at the Carmichael Elks Lodge #2103. The show will be located at 5631 Cypress Ave, Carmichael, CA 95608. This is a great space for viewing orchids and other plants. Our vendors will have thousands of orchids and other plants available for purchase and they can tell you how to grow and be successful with these wonderful plants.
As mentioned above, the show includes a Preview Event on the evening of Friday, April 11th. We had a great turnout last year and people really enjoyed themselves so we are bringing it back again for this year. There will be food and wine and, of course, orchids. This is a wonderful opportunity to preview our show early, enjoy some great food and wine, and be the first to pick up some beautiful plants from our vendors. This is when they have the best selection and supply so if you want the best chance to pick up some new and beautiful plants, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. There will be members of the society available to help you with your orchid questions and tell you about the society. This is a great event that you don't want to miss. And best of all, the Preview Event includes an all access pass that gets you into the show for the entire event.
There will be displays that are put on by our society, our vendors and the AOS California Sierra Nevada Judging Center. These beautiful displays are truly a sight to behold. As you wander around the show, you'll see orchids of all types; some that you will recognize and many that you won't. You'll be surprised and amazed at the variety of orchids that are grown by our members.
The show includes classes and talks on how to keep your orchid growing at its best. You can learn about the different kinds of orchids and how to take care of them. There will be repotting demonstrations and discussions about which type of media to use for your orchid. You will also learn how to water and fertilize your orchid for the best results.
We hope to see everyone at our show this year. This is a great opportunity to learn more about these wonderful plants and how to take care of them.
