7 Summit Challenge 2024
What is 7 Summits?
7 Summits is a San Luis Obispo community wide event where participants can pick one of the 7 largest peaks in the world that they want to conquer and swim that distance. This event is open to anyone in the community; anyone who wants to swim can sign up and join.

Elbrus 5,642m (6,170.16 yrds) about 113 laps long course
Kilimanjaro 5,895m (6,446.85 yrds) about 118 laps long course
Denali 6,194m (6,773.84 yards) about 124 laps long course
Aconcagua 6,961m (7,612.64 yrds) about 139 laps long course
Everest 8,848m (9,676.29 yrds) about 177 laps long course

Why?
We were inspired by Sarah Hawkins, our former CP Club Sports advisor and her organization, kidney donor athletes, that climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2022! Attendees will be provided a swim cap and meal with the purchase of a ticket. Please join us for a fun filled day in the pool along with good music, food, and company!
