7 Sevens One Day Challenge

The 7 Sevens is a long distance route in the Mourne Mountains which includes all 7 mountains over 700m (sort of- Meelmore historically accidentally slipped in there). We will tell you more about that on the day!

This is a big challenge! You will be hiking for 20km and ascend/descend 2,500m. It will take approximately 12 hours and you will need a good level of fitness to complete this challenge.

Level: Very Strenuous

Terrain: rocky paths, open mountainside, scree

Can I go on my own?

Of course, there are lots of people that join our events on their own, it won’t be long until you are making new friends!

What you will need to wear:

Suitable footwear- this includes walking boots or waterproof hiking/mountain running trail shoes

Walking trousers or leggings (no jeans/cotton)

Insulating layers such as fleece or wool and a jacket

What you will need to bring with you:

Rucksack

Waterproof jacket and trousers

Hat and gloves

Water and snacks (plenty of)

Spare warm layers

Are you ready for an epic challenge? We will guide and navigate you through the full route as well as providing all the support you need. There will be two qualified and experienced mountain leaders who are outdoor first aid trained and will be carrying first aid and emergency equipment for your safety.

*£4 payable directly on the day to The Black Sheep Mournes Shuttle for transport from your car at the finish point to the start point where we will then walk back to the finish point.

COVID GUARANTEE

If we need to cancel an event you will have the option of completing your activity on a rescheduled date or receive a full refund.

If you need to cancel an event, you will receive credit which you can use towards another hike if you cancel with over 14 days notice. There is no credit given if you cancel within 14 days of the event, within 14 days of the event we do not offer exchanges/transfer of your ticket onto another event.
