Join us as we savor the rich flavors of Mexico and rally in support of our industry friend, Victor Esqueda—owner of Ixtapa Restaurant, former owner of Ixtapa South, Cacao Restaurant, Frida's, and Guadalajara Cafe.
With over 30 years in the Kansas City food scene, Victor has navigated the highs and lows of the industry, leaving a lasting impact on Mexican cuisine with his innovative concepts. His generosity and passion have inspired and supported countless local food professionals over the decades. Due rising costs industry-wide, Victor had to make the difficult decision to to close Ixtapa South, leaving behind not only a dream but also significant financial responsibilities. In these challenging times, Chef Fernanda of TACO NACO KC and Chef Tito de Dios of Chef Tito's American Fusion and Playita del Norte, have come together to collaborate on a elevated Mexican dinner in honor of their long-time industry friend. All profits will go towards covering the expansive financial obligations of Victor Esqueda left from closing his restaurant.
