Get to know your guides:
Tina Jenkins, farm owner, is a fourth-generation Nassau County native, farmer, biologist, naturalist, and professor of biological sciences. Her mission as a naturalist and farm owner is to foster an intimate connection between individuals and nature through immersive experiences and reflective practices. This mission aims to cultivate a deep appreciation and promote a harmonious relationship between people and the natural world.
Angie Obrigkeit, RYT200 is an advanced reiki master, yogi, and energy healer with a love of meaningful connections and community. Healing practices with Angie emphasize flow and general well-being. Angie frequently offers sound healing and incorporates reiki into her classes to promote connection to spirit and alignment of the mind, heart, and body. An experience with Angie will leave you feeling balanced and grateful.
Ronnetta Williams, PhD, RYT500 is a local psychologist and true animal lover. She is known for her authentic, chill, non-judgmental teaching style and person-centered philosophy. Ronnetta incorporates mindfulness-based and emotion-focused cues throughout her classes to promote an eastern body, western mind experience. She encourages self-acceptance and connection with others, spirit, and the universe.
What to expect:
Once everyone is present, we will gather along the spring-fed pond where Tina will welcome you and share a brief history and mission statement of the farm. Together we will then take a short mindful walk down a nature trail and into the pine forest (half-mile round trip). On the walk, some of the farm animals, goats, donkeys and a mule may come out to say hello. When we arrive in the pine forest, you will get cozy in a hammock with a warm blanket and relax to the sounds of crackling fire and pine trees gently swaying in the breeze.
Once you are comfortable, Angie, Ronnetta, and Tina will be your guides on your continued journey. Tina will lead you on an exploration of the diverse flora, fauna and ecological nuances of the surroundings. This immersive introduction aims to deepen your connection with nature, creating a more enriching and memorable mediation experience.
Ronnetta will lead you through a hypnotic meditation, setting the stage for introspection and emotional exploration while Angie plays singing bowls and other beautiful instruments. The harmonic sounds will surround you, creating a sensory experience that transcends the boundaries of traditional meditation. Once the guided meditation is complete, Ronnetta will join Angie in playing additional singing bowls for a truly immersive healing experience.
