This 6-week course introduces students to the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Guided by instructor Nichole Schiller, students will learn essential techniques such as centering, pulling, and shaping clay on the wheel. Each weekly three-hour session will provide hands-on practice and personalized guidance to help students create functional and decorative pots. This class is perfect for beginners looking to build a solid foundation in wheel throwing!
Instructor Bio:
Nichole Schiller is a ceramic artist and the Education Coordinator at K Space Contemporary, a non profit arts organization. Since 2020 she and her partner, Adam Haney, have been creating ceramics together under their business A&N Ceramics. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi with an emphasis in Sculpture and Ceramics. Nichole's classes focus on fostering creativity, teaching proper techniques, and an appreciation for the art of ceramics.
