"Shopping While Black: Consumer Racial Profiling in America," featuring Dr. Shaun Gabbidon
About this Event

This year's Schulman Lecture Series will feature Dr. Shaun Gabbidon, who will be coming to Northeastern to discuss his work exploring consumer racial profiling in America. Dr. Gabbidon is a Distinguished Professor of Criminal Justice and the author of more than 100 scholarly publications including 75 peer-reviewed articles and 13 books. His most recent book, Shopping While Black: Consumer Racial Profiling in America, won the 2022 ACJS Outstanding Book Award. Dr. Gabbidon was recently selected as the 2024 Faculty Scholar Medal recipient for the social sciences, Penn State's highest award for scholarship.

This year's Schulman series will be an in-person event. This event is complimentary, but registration is required for the in-person discussion.
