Kick off your week at DHITS by joining us IN PERSON to raise money for the Fisher House Foundation! This is the 6th Annual Happy Hour for a Cause and first event back in person since 2019.
In past years, nearly 300 attendees came together to raise over $14k in a single evening. Let us continue this tradition with a strong comeback to meet a goal of raising $20k!
All proceeds and attendee donations go directly to the Fisher House Foundation, which builds comfort homes where military and veteran families can stay, free-of-charge, while a loved one is receiving care at a military medical center. To date the foundation has provided 11.5 MILLION nights of lodging and 70,000 Flights to travel for medical care.
We recommend a $50 donation for event attendance as food and two (2) drinks will be provided per person. Feel free to donate to this worthy cause even if you are not able to attend – no donation is too small!

Why are we dedicated to Happy Hour for a Cause?
Fisher House has served more than 430,000 families since 1990, benefitting people – saving our military and veterans’ families an estimated $547 MILLION in out-of-pocket expenses for lodging and transportation while receiving care. This important mission takes care of American warfighters and their families like:
- Lt Col Miller, who was shot trying to save his fellow soldiers during the Ft Hood mass shooting.
- Army Veteran Jose, who traveled with his wife Rosa from their rural Puerto Rican home to Chicago to save his life from cancer.
- Chaz Allen, who lost both his legs and his right elbow to an IED during patrol duty in Afghanistan.
