Several years ago, one of the directors and his friends started a yearly run on July 4th, getting a group of people together to run throughout the town with American flags. One year his son thought, “Why not make a 5k out of this?” That was the beginning of the Flag Run 5k, and we've been dedicated to making this race happen ever since. Within the last few years, this event was made possible through all of our helpful sponsors, racers, and the community as a whole.The proceeds go to the Boerne Fire Department for equipment and scholarship for a graduating senior into the academy.
