🧑🍳 Calling all baking enthusiasts, pastry prodigies, and confectionery wizards! Put your skills to the test in the ultimate baking contest in Hampton Roads. In this “just for fun” baking battle, youth and adult bakers show off their skills with creations (pies, cakes, pastries, cookies, or bars) inspired by a work of art in the Chrysler Museum’s collection. Local food phenoms will judge who rises to the occasion and claims baking glory. To really hit that sweet spot, inspired by the exhibition Farm to Table: Art, Food, and Identity in the Age of Impressionism, we will have a sampling of baked goods from local bakeries that we know and love.🎉 Free First Thursday
The Bake-off will be the feature event at the Chrysler Museum’s First Thursday. All contestants and their guests are invited to join gallery talks of works featured in the Bake-Off, enjoy live music, and a cash bar with a signature craft cocktail. The Chrysler’s Poinsettia Tree will be up and everyone will get to dive into creative crafting activities before, after, and during the event.
