We are back once again at Naperville North High School on Saturday of Mother's Day Weekend to join together to save lives in memory of Naperville mom Kimberley Benedyk Sandford... and to celebrate it with a big free family-friendly festival! As always, we will have live music, food trucks, a "thank you" drawing for our blood donors and volunteers with tens of thousands of dollars in prizes, face painting, challenges with the Marines, free goodies from local vendors, inflatables and games, The Hamilton Collection cars on display, and SO much more!
Little Pops Pizza is also once again sponsoring the team challenge. The group who donates the most blood will win a free pizza party. In past years, you had to put your team name in the notes when signing up for an appointment. This year, we will have a big white board at check-in with all the team names (and yes you can add a team the day of) and everyone writes their name as they donate. This will also help you see where you stand if you need to phone some friends to come out to help you win!
Last year we broke the record for the 5th straight time for single-day single-location blood drive, but we only broke it by 7 pints... so we really need each and every one of you. So save the date, tag your friends, use the invite feature on this FB event, and get ready to help us once again save thousands of lives!
Closer to the date, we will post a sign-up sheet for volunteers. High school students should contact Wheel Dawgs run by John Noffke as they handle the student volunteer side. All volunteers receive an A Pint For Kim t-shirt and 10 tickets to the thank you raffle!
Thank you to every single person who has played a role in bringing Kim's desire to use her pain for a purpose to life. We cannot ever thank you enough!
