The Watford Miniature Railway first opened in 1959, and now successfully been running for 65 years! We will be celebrating 65 years with an 'Anything Goes' weekend on 27 & 28 April. Anything goes means anything in our shed which is in working order (or anything that goes!) will be running over the course of the weekend.
This means hopefully we will run three steam engines and three diesel engines over the course of the weekend. Some trains will be double headed in different combinations too.
Over the weekend we are also planning to launch our latest book 'Rails Through The Park', which shows over 300 photos of the railway as it has changed and developed over the first 65 years.
(Please note: although we will do our best to run as many engines as possible, we cannot guarantee specific engines until the day due to mechanical or other issues that may arise)
