The 63rd Annual Lake George Winter Carnival 2025 will start running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from January 31 to March 2, 2025. This multi-weekend festival includes exciting activities for every weekend during the period. Events will occur on all three days of the weekend, starting with welcome parties on Fridays, followed by various activities like the Chili Cook-Off, Glacier Golf Tournament, Paint & Sip Sundays, and many other fun-filled events taking place on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Lake George Winter Carnival is entirely volunteer-based and welcomes individuals interested in assisting with various activities, including children's events, cook-offs, games, and races.
Event Highlights:
- Welcome Parties: New for 2025, the carnival introduces welcome parties every Friday night during the event.
- Chili Cook-Off: A fan-favorite event where participants can showcase their chili recipes.
- Hot Chocolate Topping Bar: Available for five weeks in 2025, offering a variety of toppings and limited souvenir mugs for $1.
- Glacier Golf Tournament: Scheduled for February 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM on the ice near Shepard's Park. Teams of 2 or 4 can compete for prizes from local establishments.
- Paint & Sip Sundays with Michele: Held at the Holiday Inn Resort on February 2, 9, and 16, 2025. Registration is $35.
- 3rd Annual Duck Hunt: In collaboration with 518 Jeepin, participants receive clues to hunt for ducks in Warren County.
- Outhouse Races: A unique and entertaining event free for spectators.
- Polar Plunge: Brave participants can take a dip in the icy waters of Lake George.
Location:
The carnival is held throughout the Village of Lake George in Upstate New York. Many events take place on the lake, ice conditions permitting. The Lake George Winter Carnival Headquarters is located in Shepard Park.
