This 4 week course is designed for those of you that have yet to master how to swim frontcrawl efficiently, breaststroke/backstroke swimmers looking to learn a different stroke and for those of you who have tried learning front crawl but get puffed out after swimming it for short distances.THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR NON SWIMMERS OR THOSE LACKING IN WATER CONFIDENCE.
If you can already swim head in frontcrawl for longer distances eg 600m plus without tiring then please book onto the improvers/advanced session.
Course will cover:
Learning how to breathe correctly with your face in the water and how to breathe efficiently whilst swimming.
Learning how to scull.
Learning/refreshing front crawl technique and what you should be doing with your head, body, legs and arms.
By the end of the course you will have an understanding of frontcrawl and how things should feel when you are swimming the stroke so you can continue to practice at your own.
DATES: WEDNESDAY EVENINGS 18.30 - 19.30
15th/22nd May/week off/5th/12th June **THERE IS NO LESSON IN MAY HALF TERM**
Being able to practice between the lessons will really help too.
Each lesson is 60 minutes.
Post session emails are sent to all attendees covering the stroke points and drills so you can refer back to it.
Please read the attendee instructions to ensure you are suitable to attend the course.
You are required to attend all sessions in the course.
Partial refunds will not be given for missed sessions neither can they substituted for sessions on other courses.
REQUIREMENTS
Be over 18 years of age.
Be in good health
Participants should be able to swim at least one of the following distances:
100m breaststroke and confident swimming in deep water.
100m backstroke and confident swimming in deep water.
50m basic head in frontcrawl and confident swimming in deep water.
THIS COURSE IS NOT FOR NON SWIMMERS.
Swim costume, swim hat and goggles to be worn.
Wetsuits can be worn if worried about getting cold. Water is heated but the air is not!
