We'll guide you through the basics of yoga, focusing on what feels good for your body and mind. This series is designed to guide you through the essential principles of yoga and help you build a strong, sustainable practice so whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refresh your yoga knowledge, this course is the perfect starting point.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Our aim is to create a space where you feel comfortable exploring your own pace and progress.
WEEK 1: Introduction to Yoga and Standing Poses
Start with a gentle introduction to yoga and learn the fundamentals of standing poses. You'll meet your instructor and fellow participants, setting the stage for a collaborative and encouraging atmosphere.
WEEK 2: Forward Bends and Hip Openers
Embrace the flexibility and calm that come with forward bends and hip-opening pose. We'll focus on releasing tension and finding comfort in your own skin.
WEEK 3: Backbends and Heart Openers
Open your heart with gentle backbends and experience the invigorating energy they bring. You'll be surprised at how these poses can lift your spirit and increase your confidence.
WEEK 4: Balancing Poses and Core Strength
Challenge your stability and work on core strength, discovering the inner balance that yoga can help you achieve. Together, we'll support each other as we take on new challenges.
WEEK 5: Twists and Spinal Health
Discover the detoxifying benefits of gentle twists, learning the importance of spinal health and the energetic power of leaning into sensations.
Week 6: Inversions and Shifting Perspectives
Begin exploring basic inversions. This is where you'll start to see yoga from a new perspective—literally and figuratively!
