This course is a deep dive into the techniques of handbuilding with clay! We will cover coiling, soft and hard slabs, and pinch pottery to create unique sculptures or homewares.
We will also cover a wide range of decoration techniques such as sgraffito, creating surface textures with carving, inlaying coloured clay, slip decoration and glazing.
More advanced potters are welcome to carry out their own projects with technical support.
Materials and firings for up to 12 pots are included. Extra pots will be charged a discretionary rate to cover materials and firing costs.
