Master the fundamentals of acrylic painting in a structured supportive environment! Over six weeks you’ll explore:
Color Theory & Mixing – using a limited palette
Value – Bring depth to your work
Brush Techniques – Learn layering blending & more
Drawing Made Easy – Practical tips to improve accuracy
No experience needed! Just bring your enthusiasm—we’ll provide the guidance.
We’ll have the lessons inspiring studio space and encouragement; you provide your art supplies (list below) willingness and favorite bottle of wine (or beverage of your choice)
Classes are 2.5 hours long and begin Thursday evening October 2 and end on November 6 from 6pm-8:30pm
Students are responsible to purchase needed supplies–you can find Blick & Amazon links to the supplies needed for the class listed under the shop page or we can have a kit ready for you on the first day of class for $95. Make sure to email us in advance to let us know if you will need a kit.
Class limited to 12 students and will require a minimum of 6 to be conducted.

- Paintbrushes (for acrylic) I suggest at least 3 different sizes: a bright (size 10) bright (size 4) & round (size 2)–basically big medium and a small pointed brush
- a palette (palette paper works well) or a “Sta-Wet palette” even paper plates
- acrylic paint in at least the 5 colors (red blue yellow black & white–Liquitex Basics make a good starter paint set).
- 2- 8×10″ canvas and 1-16×20″ canvas to paint on…canvas board wood panel back-stapled or whatever you’d like to try
- Tabletop Easel (not necessary as you can borrow one from us but if you plan to paint at home I’d suggest an easel of some kind)
- a palette knife (not absolutely necessary
