Step into the light filled atrium of Fremantle Town Hall to take in the stunning final artwork of the Six Seasons Gathering Project capturing the essence of Djeran.View images of the five previously completed works, learn more about the process undertaken by the participating artists and get hands on, creating your own design with gathered materials in the space.
Presented by the City of Fremantle in partnership with WA Museum, this community-based project began last year. Each new season local artists gathered resources from the Walyalup area, from river, swamp, ocean and land, to create seasonal artworks that reflect the Nyoongar six seasons.
Participating artists: Irma Woods, Geri Hayden, Turid Calgaret, Amelia Herriman, Narelle Ogilvie, Sacha Ogilvie, Tigerlily Ryan and Sandy McKendrick.
