Sunday, 6/23 1-5pm
Learn to make simple silver stacking rings in this four hour workshop. We will have two sizes of material, (1mm round and 4mm flat, the same dimensions of my thin Sentinel Stacking Rings and the Wide Sentinel Stacking rings). You will have time to make at least two rings during this workshop, one of each size or whichever combo you like. If you have time and desire you can make more! Expect to gain familiarity with basic traditional jewelry tools and techniques. You will learn to measure, cut, solder, file, form and finish the material. The material dimensions are just the starting point, you may wish to add different textures with hammers or patterns with files to your rings. I will also bring copper scraps to practice techniques on if desired. All tools and materials will be provided.
Light refreshments will be provided. This class will be hosted in our classroom space which is only accessible by stairs. If special accommodations are needed please contact us ([email protected]).
